TalkTalk did not resolve my problem. I found a fix from an Ex-BT employee. all you had to do was pick up your handset and dial 1. Replace the hand set and this immediately cleared the line of all noise.. Such an easy fix after all that time doing the tests. I hope that you will use this response to your customers in future before going through the lengthy process of all those tests.

OMG!

We have had a crackling line for ages. After a few minutes of chatting we could hardly hear each other.

After trying your suggestion the line has completely clear of noise.
