Contract breakage fee.

Hi there, I just spoke to someone via the chat. They advised that I have to pay something like 70£ to end my contract which expires in 05.2023

Could someone check this please, I dont make sense as this is nearly 6 month left.

I assume you mean expires in 2024 and there's 6 whole months left of that contract. Most packages have a monthly Early Termination fee of £10.20 per month remaining on the contract so from the time of termination 6 months on such a package would be £61.20.

For complete clarification tell us the package and its contract expiry date. Or work it out yourself from the Early Termination Fees in the Help content Cancel your TalkTalk Service.

I'm on Fibre 150. Is that still 10.20?

The Help Content states that Fibre 150 and Fibre 150 Data Only have an Early Termination charge of £10.20 per month remaining on the contract.

Have you clarified when your end of contract is? If it's 05/23 as you originally stated then you're out of contract and no Early Termination Charges apply. You can check in your customer MyAccount.

You have to call to cancel. 0345 172 0088 and when prompted say "cancel".
