If I've paid my bill early, will they still try take the money out on the day they said they would

It depends how early you mean, it would have to be more than three working days before the Direct Debit date.

Hi Kelly881

You paid by card on the day your direct debit was due to be taken 30th, Direct debits are always requested upto 72 hours before they are taken. If the double payment happens your account will show a credit in My Account and you will be able to request a refund.
