Big jump in price for renewal compared with published prices?

Hi, I'm trying to work out why my renewal price for Fibre 65 is quoted at £35.95, but if I were a new customer I could get it for £28? I know you do special prices for new customers but that's a 28% uplift for loyalty. I've been with TalkTalk for years, is it possible that the algorithm thinks I wouldn't switch? To get the same speeds with other big name suppliers I would pay between £23 and £26. Is that renewal price right?

thanks

It is typical of what they offer through Offers & Upgrades and the renewal / end of contract email notice, so that's why we always recommend that you phone 03451 720088 or speak to the Loyalty Team / Retentions on Chat.

You can get a much more bespoke deal that way, @lockedoutagain.

Check opening hours

Even more confusing I've just found an email in my spam folder from TalkTalk offering a more reasonable price, compared with the one I see when I log into My Account. If that is genuine I'll accept it.

The email won't include discounts for boosts etc, @lockedoutagain.

Definitely phone / Chat to get the best offer and check details at the time.

See details in my first reply.
