Telephone line broken in garden

Can someone help please. Our telephone line lies on our front lawn broken in half. A friend helped (as we work from home) and did a temporary fix so we can get the internet and receive calls. Talktalk think it's now working but it isn't and we need an Open Reach engineer to replace the telephone line asap. Bad weather etc getting into joins in the cable.

Have spent ages on my mobile to TalkTalk and am getting no where, they think an engineer has already been out.

Is this fault still present? The line test is clear.

If the fault is still present then we will need to arrange an Openreach engineer visit.
