Have reported this previously, and TWO engineers said problem was outside the home.Noisy cracking noise then silence.It appeared fixed for a few days now it has gone again same problem noisy line then nothing.

The line tests are clear - No faults detected.

Can I just check, did you previously test with a different phone at the test socket, with the router removed?
