Removing Standard Voicemail on my Landline i.e. 1571

I desperately do not want people to be able to leave messages on my landline but I cannot get Talktalk to remove the service. Recently I spent over 2 hours on live chat to no avail, they were more than hopeless. Please can anyone help. Thank you in advance.
