Home phone number

It seems our home phone number has spontaneously changed! We've not received any calls for a while so decided to phone our home phone from one of our mobiles. The home phone didn't ring but the mobile said line was busy. Then dialled the mobile from home phone - and a completely different land line number came up! Engineers have recently done work on the telegraph poles in our road. Could this have caused this problem?

If you dial 17070 from your home phone do you get your own number read back to you, or a different one? If the latter, you may have a crossed line.

If you would like the support team to look into this for you make sure that your personal details including TalkTalk phone number and/or account number are complete on your community profile (click here) and also add the "wrong" number in the Private notes section.

Now unable to get a dial tone so can't try any numbers!

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing problems with your service. Line test is failing so I've raised this to Openreach for investigation. Openreach will investigate and may contact you directly if they need to access your home
