Phone line not working when connected to splitter

I have no dialling tone when my landline phone is connected to the phone socket via the splitter but it is fine if connected directly to the main socket. When I try phoning my landline I get a message from voicemail saying someone is on the phone. Note that it has been fine for years up until now.

My WiFi is fine when the hub is connected via the splitter.

Do you mean the microfilter, @Jenshe?

Check for a spare in the original box that the router came in.

Sometimes the microfilter doesn't work so well.

Profile updated. Please note that I have resolved this issue by using a different splitter, so landline now working again.
