I am really confused regarding the need for SuperSafe Boost when having Eero 6 secure activated.

Is Eero 6 secure as good or better than SuperSafe?

Eero 6 secure is a network level security tool rather than device protection. Normally that would make it winner unless you use your devices off the TalkTalk connection where Supersafe is superior as it's on the device.

Thanks for the explanation.

I have found that when I have advanced security and ad blocking ticked on the Eero router and have Supersafe boost running - I seem to get problems with the browsers reporting the web site cannot be found on web site links - maybe the 2 security systems interfere with each other.

Yes you'll always find conflicts with running 2 of the same/similar products as they'll detect or interact with each other.
