Morning,

Thanks for letting me know and I'm sorry to hear this. I'll take another look now.

I've re-run the line test now which is clear, however the connection does look very unstable. I've just read back through your topic but couldn't see if your main socket has a test socket? Would it be possible to confirm this please as the next step will be to arrange an engineer visit.

If this is a line problem, your best chance is to call the Service Centre on 0345 172 0088, as no one from TalkTalk will be on here until Wednesday now.

When you say tripping out or buffering, is this just a WiFi issue, or is it the internet link that goes down? If it is the latter (which I assumed that it was when you mentioned engineer visits). Whilst I can't help with internet link problems, I can provide a lot of help with WiFi issues, but I will need to know which make/model of TalkTalk router you have.

This switching back and forth lasts for around 2 mins at the most ( so far ) and then turns white : Happy days as everything starts to work .

Can have days when its fine and can have days when the this issue kicks in and it repeats around every hour or so 😞

I hope that helps to pinpoint the issue 🙂

You have either the 5364 or the 5464 then. What happens if you move the router to the test socket? This is located behind the removable faceplate of the master socket (if you have that design).

It probably is but not got there yet . The changeover of the service to fibre would need someone to ' load ' my number into the system to allow fibre broadband ( this probably has levels too ? ) and been placed on ' the lowest setting ' which is probably the cause of the issue. 3 techs attended and confirmed the issue was ' probably at the exchange ' .In the meantime , i am praying for it not to snow !
