Please fix my broadband again!!! Reliability all day has been awful. Openreach has been in the area messing about. Please investigate and resolve with Openreach. Infrastructure here is old, fragile and needs serious investment urgently. It's 2024 and no joke. Should be 10 Mbps down / 1 Mbps up.

Upstream line rate (kbit/s): 664

Downstream line rate (kbit/s): 1936

Maximum upstream rate (kbit/s): 664

Maximum downstream rate (kbit/s): 2450

Upstream noise safety coefficient (dB): 6.3

Downstream noise safety coefficient (dB): 7.7

Hi Darren,

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing problem with your service. Are you experiencing any problems with your telephone service, is there a dial tone? Any noise on the line?

Chris

Morning @Chris-TalkTalk

We don't use the land line for calls now, but I just checked and the line is crackling / noisy with "electrical" noises like buzzing sometimes... so definitely not right and not helping broadband. There is a dial tone. Thanks for looking into this.

Regards

Darren Jackson

The telephone plugged into the test socket of the master socket and now the extension sounds better - noise has gone for the time being. I will turn the router off for 30 minutes and see what the connection is like.

Thanks for trying that. The speed is limited because DLM changed your line profile in the early hours of this morning, this is capping your speed. If the noise doesn't return then DLM should move you back to the faster profile over the next 48 hours
