topic Phone cable detached from side of house in Fibre

The cable has detached from the side of my house (the fixing bracket looks broken) and is dangling in the wind between house and pole (but connection still working). From my understanding, this is the responsibility of OpenReach but I have to contact TalkTalk to get referenced.

I tried to contact TalkTalk via phone that linked to a chat that was unresponsive.

I used the chat in the community area and the "agent" wanted to run a 20 min line check, paying no attention to the fault description. Still awaiting the results of that one!

Is there anyone out there please who can help me in a sensible response?

REP-14142573

Thanks Tim

Hi Tim,

Yes you're correct, you do need to report this directly to Openreach but you don't need to be referenced by us. Please see the following Openreach webpage - Report damage, vandalism or a health & safety issue | Openreach

Hi Chris

Many thanks for the advice, I have called and registered the issue. They are coming out to fix. Can you close my open report?

Many thanks

Tim
