      <description>&lt;P&gt;Having had similar experience of my line speed being down regulated after power cuts at home, I disconnected my phone line connection to the router and powered it off for 30 mins.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Unfortunately the line speed has not reset and is still stuck at 24Mbps. Any ideas. Wait and see? Is there some manual adjustment that can be made? 24Mbps isn’t really compatible with the various needs of the household.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;Eric&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Worth plugging the router in at the test socket, if you have one, and leave it there for staff to test the line tomorrow.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;See this article to ascertain whether your master socket has a test socket:&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;OK, cool. The power cuts and any repeated disconnections may have knocked DLM back to restrict your speed. Hopefully the support team can sort this out when they pick this up, bear in mind there may be a bit of a delay in them responding because of the backlog over the long weekend.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

This is the junction box used when my telephone wire was replaced following a fault that was repaired in February this year. &lt;P&gt;Thanks for the update and for the photos, it does look like it could be letting water/moisture in. The line test has detected a potential external line fault so I've passed this straight over to Openreach for an external line investigation to be conmpleted. I'll check again first thing in the morning for an update for you.&lt;/P&gt;
