D link - 3782 hard resetting to default settings

I have the d link - 3782 super router and it keeps disappearing from wifi list for ten mins them all the lights flash and it disconnects from ethernet and stop giving Internet completely and resets back to default settings on its own then says incorrect password and logs me out of everyhring as the password has gone back to the original one I got witb the router 6 to 7 years ago that iv never used , o have tried to go through the trouble shooting in chat but it's getting me no where, I'm at the end of my tether as everything disconnects in my home and needs connected again, it needs an update or a new router but I can't get any one in the chat to listen they just run through the same questions and it's working at that point so they say no issues,
