Issues with Huawei DG8041W router.

Hi all,

First post here so I hope I’m doing this right. I’ve been a TalkTalk customer for the last few years and have had no issues up until very recently. I have had an air source heat pump installed and alongside it, a Vaillant VR940f WiFi gateway.

For whatever reason, the gateway just absolutley refuses to “play ball” properly. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I’ve tried just about every solution I can find online and am fairly confident that the problem is this router, a Huawei DG8041W.

I’ve found some posts on here which would suggest this router is actually discontinued and that TalkTalk should replace it, but when I phoned and tried to get support, the call was seemingly going to take all day and I didn’t have the time, they weren’t interested in simply replacing the router and didn’t seem to understand my issue so I gave up.

Can anyone here from TalkTalk help?
