Phone app not working with home broadband

I have an old Huwawei TalkTalk router, and apps on my new Android phone do not work properly with it. They work perfectly well away from home. Can the firmware be updated, or can TalkTalk provide an up-to-date router?

The firmware can't be updated and Talktalk no longer supplies this router, so it will be switched for a Sagemcom, @Peter179.

Please complete your community forum profile details for Talktalk staff to identify your account.

Add your Talktalk phone number or account number in Personal Information. Go via your avatar, settings....SAVE CHANGES.
