I'm finding that some links included in email do not open when clicked. for example, confirm your email .. click on this link. Link then opens in new tab with error that site can't be reached or similar

If these are unsolicited emails, you should never click on a verification link.

These links often download malicious software to your device.

If you have gone so then run a virus and malware program to check your device is free from such software.

Also verifying your address in these emails will show spanners your email address is live and you will receive even more spam.

If it's verifying your email on a service you have signed up for, these will open a new webpage and you would then receive a thank you email and to logon again.

Some sites require pop up blockers to be deactivated so this may be an issue if you are responding to a legitimate email

Thanks Fibre ..

This is not an issue about unsolicited emails and the point is, certain links to a service I have signed up for do not work.. Example, I subscribe to a newsletter/journal website or service that then send me a confirm email link. The link cannot redirect to the service. see attached I can open that page independently

With my previous provider I didn't have this issue so its reasonable to assume there may be a setting/config issue in the talktalk service. It happens regularly on legitimate sites I have to then open separately

Do you have an Eero router?

Sometimes the advanced security of ad blocker stops these working.

As mentioned pop up blockers can stop it too.

Right mouse click the link, then copy it and paste it into the browser. This should work.
