Thanks again fr8ys for your reply and information. I presume it should not too difficult to include my 4 phone digital handsets. The base unit is connected into one of my telephone extension sockets. My wifi hub is presently plugged into my telephone master socket which also has a telephone connection outlet socket.

I have a 3 storey house with a 3 storey extension with a double cement block wall dividing them. To get adequate wifi throughout the house I use a second identical non-fibre router/hub as an access point. Can I have the same arrangement after having fibre installed? Also can I still use the non-fibre access point router/hub with the new fibre router/hub?

I have fibre 65 because I have partial copper wire supply. I am happy with my set up. Will I be requested to change to full fibre any time in the future, The copper wire part otf my supply is from the pillar to my house. I would not like to switch to full fibre because you lose your phone if there is a power failure.

Everyone will eventually be transferred to full fibre.

When your time comes you will be given the opportunity to express what is required and if you are vulnerable etc. arrangement should be made for a battery backup.

You will find many articles on the web where this is discussed in more detail and what the ofcom guidelines are.

The access is completely separate from your old connection, which will then no longer function.

If you have the choice stress you want VOIP for the phone. They will then supply an adaptor for the router for your base unit to plug into, if compatible. The handset should work if the base unit works.

If you have any care equipment or are vulnerable get registered now, if not already done so.

Depending on the router supplied your bridge may or may not work.

Your new point of access will be discussed with you by the installing engineer
