Yes, the router will work on its own you need to just ensure that it is plugged in to use the services.

Hi there newbie here I'm afraid. I've been with TalkTalk for 9 years or so, but I'm not very tech savvy, being an old duffer (73 I'm afraid). My question is this, my old modem router has been very slow lately, so TalkTalk recommended that I take out a new contract with them ,(of course they did) 😉 and they would send me new router. Well they did so, but is ut only a router? If so will it work on its own, or do I need a modem or some sort of hub to get the internet now?
