EERO 6 Using Laptop away from home

Hello

I am about to transfer to Fibre 150 from Fibre 35. At present I have the SuperSafe Add-on from F Secure. I am told the Eero 6 router provides its own security for all devices on its network and SuperSafe is not available as an Add-on.

The question is; how can I protect my laptop when I am away from home and log into another network? Do I have to install my own Anti-virus protection ?
