EERO - FFTP - 3rd Party Firewall

Hi support,

I have an FFTP connection currently with EERO routers installed and functioning well.

I am looking to install a firewall in front of the the EERO router and connect the EERO kit to one of the ports on the firewall.

Can you confirm that using this setup, my EERO kit isn't going to be blocked as I have read that this kit can be blocked if detected using a different providers etc. Unfortunately, I can see no information on how this detection works and if installing a firewall can effect this.

I'm not sure about this but it may be worth chatting with eero support via the app to see what they advise.

(there is an option in the app to trouble shoot and connect to support)

What firewall are you going to use it would need a WAN port to site in front of your Eero.

The Eero has a built in firewall, so you could end up causing more issues than you solve unless you intend to switch the Eero to Bridge mode which removes the firewall function. The firewall would then be after your Eero not before.
