BT FTTC to TalkTalk FTTP (Landline)

If I order TalkTalk FTTP while having a BT FTTC connection, will this do anything to the BT FTTC line (e.g. will BT think I am cancelling) or will both services run along side each other until I manually cancel BT FTTC?

I ask because I want to port my landline to voip from BT FTTC while having FTTP already setup (don't mind a month or so overlap on bills). TalkTalk don't seem to have an option for landline when I put the address in. All packages state "Unlimited broadband, no landline".

Call us to discuss this, the transfer between FTTC and FTTP is not as simple as it is with FTTC, we can place an order but you will have to speak to BT to cancel your service with them and retain your number.

Speaking to the sales team will clarify your questions.
