Hi all,

recently upgraded from Fibre 500 to 900.

I've been using my own router (TP-Link Archer AX72) for the past 2 years, with no issue.

Its not picking up the new line speed, for some reason (and its techncially capable of it!)

(testing completed with several wifi devices, and my xbox which is plugged in via ethernet to the router. Max i'm seeing is 460Mbps, which is more or less what i got under F500).

Plugged in the eero to test, and it picked up the new line speed immediately (actually topped 1Gbps in testing), so i could use that, but i have somefeatures setup in the tp-link which i am not keen on losing (QoS, VPN client for specific devices etc).

My final resort will be a full reset of my own device, and trying from scratch to see if that makes a difference, but was wondering if anyone else had seen something similar?

If need be, i can use the eero going forward, and find workarounds for anything else, i'm just curious.

Cheers

factory reset of the router worked. xbox now reporting 1035Mbps (which I judge to be acceptable 😄 )

one of these days, technology will make sense....
