Mid terraced openreach upgrade

I have an appointment booked next week for my free future fibre upgrade. My question is, I live in a mid terraced house, my internet connection comes into the front of my house but the router needs to be at the back of the house, will they be able to do this with cables inside the house?

They eon't fit any internal cabling. If you must have the router at the other end of the house to the ONT then a suitable length of ethernet cable will be the best solution.

The only rooms at the front of my house are the kitchen and downstairs toilet, neither or which are really suitable for a router though?

The router can be anywhere you want it to be subject to connecting to the ONT, where the fibre line physically enters the premises.

Yes, I think so. You will need an ethernet cable long enough to connect between the two units. Do you have a phone line presently and if so, where does that enter your home?

Yes but I don't use it, I believe it's the same openreach box at the front of my house?

OK, well that is the same area that the fibre line is likely to come in. Feel free to discuss this with the installing engineer when they arrive, but it does seem your options are limited. And they won't be able to undertake any internal cabling for you.

Ok thanks, not sure where they'll be able to put the ONT in that case as there's no sockets in the toilet and no spare wall space in the kitchen, I'll have to see what they say.
