Existing Landline number and upgrading to Full Fibre

I am thinking about getting my mothers old analogue line changed to fibre, especially after the fault she has just had on her landline and the recommendation by the engineer to change to fibre. I have checked and fibre is available at her address. Her current provider is Talktalk and she is intending to stay with them.

Is it correct that this up grade is installed for free and often the monthly cost is the same or less that she is paying now for a land line and internet connection?

More importantly can she keep her existing landline number?

Upgrading to fiber will keep the number, be aware that we don't offer a landline only service, it will be line rental, broadband and phone.
