After updating to 150 broadband a few weeks ago I have noticed that BBCi player is buffering whilst watching. I am getting speeds of 140mpbs to 147mpbs so would expect i player to run smoothly. I have a new router and other channels run ok, I have changed me I player settings to lower the picture quality but it still buffers. This never happened with my slower speed internet so any suggestions would be gratefully excepted.

Hi. This is not a device it is a LG Oled smart tv and it's also the same tv that was fine with the supposedly slower broadband speed.

Have you checked the updates page within the TV? You shouldn't need to reduce the picture quality as it should work fine on best quality.

As it's now FTTP have you changed the router from that you previously had?

Which one are you using?

Has the position if the router changed. I.e. is it now further away from the TV reducing WiFi strength? Have you tried moving the router to another position to try and increase the WiFi strength?

I'm assuming you have it connected via WiFi. If not do you use power lines or plugged in direct to the router?

If you could answer these questions please, I'll ask our resident router expert, @KeithFrench to have a look and advise you further. He may well ask for additional info as required.

Thank you.

One last thing from me before I hand over to support staff or @KeithFrench , have you tried turning the router off for at least 30 minutes and trying again?

With the TV connected by an Ethernet cable then this is obviously not a WiFi issue.

Please can you do a tracery from another Ethernet connected device to the iPlayer website.

Morning,

Can I just check, does the buffering also happen if you try to watch BBC iplayer on a different device? (tablet/laptop/etc)

Thanks
