topic Buying a Wifi 6 router in Full Fibre

Hi, I have fibre 65 data only broadband with the standard 5 ghz router. I've recently purchased a Metaquest 3 and it really could do with a WiFi 6 router.

My contract doesn't supply that type of router so can I just buy a third party one and use it?

Having researched it a bit it seems that the internet speed itself is irrelevant and it's just down to the capability of the router.

I'm kind of loathe to have to spend more on my broadband just to get a different router.

The internet speed itself is you put it is far from irrelevant, you could have the best router in the world and it won't connect to any device any faster than your maximum broadband speed allows.

Hi Capcha,

In answer to your question, yes you can buy your own router if the one we supply doesn't meet your needs
