Can I use Fast5364 instead of Eero6

Coming back to TT Residential from TT Business FTTP, I've been sent the Eero6 and DV adaptor, but the Eero6 only has two ports, one which will be for ONT, other for DV, I need at least 4 ports.

I still have a Fast5364 from last time I was with Residential and this did all I wanted, so can I use this in place of Eeero6 and will it work OK with the DV adaptor?

Bear in mind that another solution would be to get an ethernet switch which is a simple, plugin solution to expand the number of ethernet ports on any router.

If using the Fast5364 doesn't work out then I will get a switch, but I'm happier to use the equipment I have to hand which works well.

In fact I have four Fast5364's IIRC, two are TT Res, and two are TT Bus, the Business ones I don't think will work as they are Fast5364-3T.B's and AFAIK use a different authentication and didn't work on Res FTTC, so I assume the same for FTTP, I keep them as sometime I might try and reconfigure them as WAP's.

TalkTalk residential went live this morning, wouldn't have noticed but I did a speed check and it had gone up to the 'new' speed on my package. This is a bit odd as I'm running a TalkTalk business router whilst this looks the same as residential router it uses a different form of authentication, I know that my residential routers won't work with business.

Plugged my Panasonic DECT cordless/answerphone into the adaptor and after a time it connected, the first call I made to the phone (not being used for outgoing) and it refused to disconnect, I unplugged everything and started again, another couple of calls and it rang ok and disconnected, just realised I didn't let the answerphone fire up or answer the later calls, so I'll try that later.

Meanwhile I've plugged the phone back into the 'old' copper line which is still working, next job will be to chase up the porting of number across from TTB, this proved problematical two years ago which is why I had to sign up again to TTB instead of TTR.

Hello Chris, I've been using my old Fast5364 with no problems, I do have another problem which is supposed to being looked into after a session on 'chat' , the porting of my phone number from TTB to TTR doesn't seem to have happened, I have both copper and FTTP into the house, at the moment I have my Panasonic DECT phone plugged into the old copper line to recieve calls on my old number, I will be plugging this into the router once a day to see when/if this swaps over and replaces the 'new' number I've been given.
