Lag on PS5

Hello,

For the past 2 weeks I have been experiencing extreme lag spikes on my PS5 to the point it is unplayable, I have tried switching the bandwith from 5GHz to 2.4 but it only made it worse.

Any suggestions on what to do?

Have you tried connecting with ethernet to see if that sorts it?

That would be the last resort, but really an inconvenience as both my eeros are downstairs due to downstairs being bigger and my primary router was set up at the side of my house, not the middle.

Try experimenting with the placement of the eeros. I started with both of mine downstairs, but I now have my Gateway unit downstairs at the front of the house near the ONT and a second one upstairs on a window sill directly above. This works for me across the house as a whole. Every set up is different, but a bit of trial and error can sometimes help.

Alright, I will try placing one of the downstairs ones upstairs, but the connection on the edges of the house downstairs may start to suffer, but as the PS5 is directly above the room that the main eero is in, I thought I would not experience these issues.

And as I said before my gateway eero is at the side of the house not the front, so I expected the other side to experience signal issues until we got another eero.

Yeah sure, sorry if I sounded rude btw didn't mean for it to come out like that, Ive placed my second eero upstairs and I know it takes sometime for the signal to start spreading so I will give an update in around 2-3 days.

I meant to see if it worked fine using ethernet i didn't mean to connect permanently using Ethernet.
