topic FF150 Router in Full Fibre

Recently had FF 150 installed. Very happy with everything until I found that my EV charger would not work. It seems my charger (which worked fine linked to the old router) is only compatable with 2.4GHz whilst my new Sagemcom router in 5GHz.

Is it possible to change the settings and use 2.4GHz or does anyone have another solution?

If I had known this I would not have gone to FF.

Thanks.

Which router do you have?

If its an Eero, you can temporarily pause the 5ghz channel to force your EV to connect to the router, then restart the 5ghz channel. You can do this via the app.

If another router you can rename the 2.5ghz channel and then connect, but be aware any other device that uses this channel will need to be reconnected. You can do this via your router dashboard.

Hope this helps.

Try splitting the SSIDs in the WiFi router settings on your Sagemcom router, give each band a different name.

Hi @Longshawman

I have seen various problems with EVs & the Sagemcom Hub. However, this may differ with their charging system, the ones I have dealt with concern connecting to the actual car.

Please can you confirm if it is the Hub 2 (model number FAST 5464) or the older Hub 1 (5364) and what firmware it is running? With it being on FF150, I would guess that it is the 5464, but it would be helpful to know. Have you tried disabling WPS within the router and this can cause problems with connecting to certain EVs?
