Hey there, Kent. You may need what we Call Wi-Fi Boosters from £45 to £30. A Wi-Fi booster from TalkTalk can provide several benefits to enhance your internet experience at home. Here are some key advantages:

Extended Coverage: A Wi-Fi booster helps extend the range of your existing Wi-Fi network, allowing you to access the internet in areas of your home that may have weak or no signal.

Improved Signal Strength: By amplifying the Wi-Fi signal, a booster can improve the overall signal strength, leading to a more stable and reliable connection.

Better Performance in Large Homes: In larger homes or those with multiple floors, a Wi-Fi booster can help eliminate dead zones, ensuring that all areas have adequate coverage for streaming, gaming, and browsing.

Enhanced Streaming and Gaming: With a stronger and more reliable connection, you can enjoy smoother streaming of videos and music, as well as improved online gaming experiences without lag or interruptions.

Easy Setup: TalkTalk's Wi-Fi boosters are typically designed for easy installation, allowing users to set them up quickly without needing extensive technical knowledge.

Compatibility: Wi-Fi boosters are generally compatible with most routers, including TalkTalk's own routers, making them a versatile solution for enhancing your network.

Cost-Effective Solution: Investing in a Wi-Fi booster can be a cost-effective way to improve your internet experience without needing to upgrade your entire broadband plan or router.

Multiple Device Support: A Wi-Fi booster can support multiple devices simultaneously, ensuring that all family members can connect their smartphones, tablets, laptops, and smart home devices without experiencing slowdowns.

By using a Wi-Fi booster from TalkTalk, you can significantly enhance your home internet experience, ensuring better connectivity and performance throughout your living space.

Hey there, Kent. I am not sure if I understand but the Bandwidth that is from your router can be adjustable, I would assume this can spread out to all devices connected to it.

You have an eero 6 @Kent01246 therefore you will probably need a second one to create a mesh network. This will give you WiFi 6 across both 2.4 & 5GHz bands. Just getting a different booster will not achieve a mesh network, giving more unpredictable results. I think your best bet currently is to contact the Loyalty dept on 0345 1725157 and get a price from them.

Alternatively, I can provide a lot of free help with this matter. Slow speed, intermittent dropouts, breaks in the signal or no signal on some or all devices or no internet access might be caused by Wi-Fi interference from other local networks, which can also lead to a permanent reduction in speed. No ISP can be responsible for your local environment, this is mainly a byproduct of the popularity of Wi-Fi.

Generally speaking, the 2.4GHz band suffers a lot more from interference than the much faster 5GHz band, but the 2.4GHz one can sometimes have a better range, but this all depends on your local area.

In other words, I offer a free, impartial analysis of your Wi-Fi network and will try to help you optimise your Wi-Fi connection. The next stage involves sending out a guide to you to help you get me some important diagnostic results so that I can analyse them for you and recommend changes to your router configuration to solve them.

I only send this out to people who request it.

Whilst the eero is supposed to manage Wi-Fi interference, if this is very bad, particularly in the 2.4GHz band, then it cannot do anything about it, no router can. The same goes for any router at that point. Other things that may then need to be investigated are its location within your property and the WiFi bands that you use. I can help with any of this.

The information below is provided by TalkTalk. For confirmation, please contact @Lorrainef.

KeithFrench is one of our valued Community Stars and can help with a range of issues related to wireless and networking. At times, he may ask you to send him test results via a Private Message to help analyse/diagnose an issue. Although Keith does not work for TalkTalk, he very kindly shares his time and knowledge to help others.

If you need further help or if we need to take any details such as personal information about your account like phone numbers, account numbers, etc, one of the TalkTalk team will jump in and help out.

Hi @Kent01246

Do not worry about interpreting the results; I will do that for you. I will send a PM to that contains a link for a guide of mine on Wi-Fi interference. It is quite long (about 30 pages), but you will probably only need to look at three or four pages in total. Initially, look at the section called "Are you suffering from interference – prove it first". This is the first link in the table of contents. This section includes full details of free Wi-Fi analysers that I recommend for Windows, Windows phone, Android and Apple operating systems. However, I have no way of testing the Apple product. Select the analyser of your choice & my guide explains how to use it.

If you are using Wi-Fi Scanner, then please attach the zip file to this thread. As soon as I have downloaded it, I will remove the attachment from your post to preserve your privacy.

With all other analysers, please follow my instructions below.

Collect the screenshots that I require and include them in your reply.

Please post the screenshots to me in a PM (to protect your privacy), which I have requested in my guide. No photos, please, as they can be difficult to read, because the text can get out of focus when zoomed in. Please ensure that the analyser window is maximised (if Windows) before taking the screenshots & upload them via the "Insert Photos" button (in a mobile browser it's the picture icon) on the post editor's toolbar with the Size parameter set to Large.

Hi @siphosethu-TT

I am doing some WiFi analysis on this via PMs (to protect the customer's privacy). His signal strength is weak.

I am trying to trace an unknown extender/repeater that is in the 5GHz band, which I have asked the customer to tell me about.

I have also asked him:-

Where is your eero sited exactly, on the floor or insid/outside of a cabinet, cupboard. Is it near any electronic equipment such as TVs, speakers etc or large metal objects or tanks of water?

What is in between the eero & the tablet in the way of walls, large metal objects & water tanks etc.

I will report back when I have some more information.
