    <description>&lt;P&gt;I assume by disconnect you mean remove as the line should be disconnected from use at the same time as fibre was installed.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;OpenReach are not removing old copper wire as standard. Generally any wires in your home after the box are yours to remove, up to the box are OpenReach property.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;However I doubt that OpenReach will object if you remove wires within your property , at least I hope not as I've done this, and you could argue you were decorating and wanted to have a clean surface. Note personal opinion.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;TalkTalk have no control over the removal of such lines.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If your external wiring is visible, such as from a pole, and you want it removed for decorating or building works, you can contact OpenReach direct and request the removal.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;An online form to complete can be found &lt;A href="https://www.openreach.com/building-developers-and-projects/altering-our-network/for-consumer-and-business-customers" target="_self"&gt;here&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I expect OpenReach will eventually get round to removing old equipment, but their priority is getting customers connected to fibre and keeping the networks running.&lt;/P&gt;
