Hi @CherryPicker9999

Previously, you had a master socket with your old package. Think of the Hub 3's phone port as a master socket; you can connect splitters, etc, to it. The main thing is that the sum of the REN values of each phone must not exceed 6, but ideally should be no more than three or four. The DECT system will have a REN quoted probably on its base station & all other hardwired phones will have the REN number quoted on them somewhere.

Hi

Does anyone know how VoIP works on TalkTalk full fibre (Open Reach)?

(Vodafone supplies a router with 2 phone ports).

Does the TalkTalk Router have phone ports or if so how many?

Or does TalkTalk supply a Digital Voice Adaptor?

If a Wi-Fi Hub 3 router is supplied then how many phones can be plugged in?
Can a sockegt splitter be used so a DECT station and a different phone can be used?

Thanks

The single most important thing is to order VOIP with the full fibre order as it can't be added later without starting all over again, @CherryPicker9999.

If an Eero is sent, a digital voice adaptor will be sent, but they are mostly sending out Sagemcom Hub3.

One phone socket, but DECT will work.

I want to plug 1 DECT handset which is connected to other DECTS and another different phone. = 2 phones connected by cables.

Vodafone router has 2 ports for telephones - easy to just plug both handsets in.

AI says Wifi 3 has one phone port. If so, can a splitter be connected and two phones connected via cables that way?
AI says yes. Who knows if AI is correct!

It should work O.K. depending on the REN (Ring Equivalence Number) of your standard wired phone and DECT base. Most modern wired phones have a REN of 1 or less. The REN capability of the Hub doesn't seem to be published anywhere but I have back fed my wired phone extension lines from the Hub. I have two wired phones and a DECT base connected to extensions with a total REN of around 3 which works without any problems.

I think it should work. Routers supplied by Vodafone have two sockets for telephones.
I put a splitter on one and connected two telephones - a Dect and another and they seem to work (at my mum's).

I cannot see why this would not work with TalkTalk's router.

Thanks
