Hi Camberman

Is the Galaxy S8 the only way you access your tiscali mailbox? If there's been any continued connection to your mailbox using insecure settings then it's likely that TalkTalk have removed IMAP/POP3 access as a last resort to keep users secure. So to advise you fully it would be good to know if we're just needing to check the settings of the S8 or other devices as well.

Best way to check is if you take screenshots of the S8's incoming and outgoing server settings, image edit to obscure the first part of your email adddress and upload here using the picture icon above this Reply area.

Hello

I changed the settings on my mobile (Galaxy S8) to the new settings (Email settings | SMTP, IMAP & POP3 | TalkTalk Help & Support) and the new settings worked for a day or two but when I try to access emails now on my mobile I repeatedly get asked for my password but it keeps rejecting it. I have an old tiscali email account. Help!!

OK, that's looking good. The Samsung will support secure mail with those settings. I believe there's a software update for some users so worth checking that at some point.

The desktop is obviously connecting to your mailbox via an Internet browser as that will continue to work ok. No settings needed, just an email address and password and it's secure by design with the latest browsers like Edge, Firefox or Chrome.

However, if you do have other email software on the laptop that you might use then let us know so we can check compatibility for you.

On the basis that the Samsung is ready for secure mail connections and that's the only email client device in use I'll request that TalkTalk Support restore full access for you. You'll receive a response here from TalkTalk Support to verify your personal details prior to authorising IMAP access be restored.

This topic is already flagged to TalkTalk Support but I can see there's been no response here so maybe overlooked.

Just ensure that the email address that needs to have IMAP access restored is listed in your Community Profile personal information and the Private Notes box.

I'll push a reminder into the TalkTalk workflow.
