      <description>&lt;P&gt;My wife is unable to access her talktalk email address using an app on her ipad and tablet. We have followed the instructions on a link on a recent email but the mail will still not come through. We changed the port numbers for incomimg and outgoing mail but when we try save them, an user name and password error message keeps appearing. Any help will be gratefully received.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Paul&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;You're not a TalkTalk Consumer home broadband customer or MailPlus subscriber&lt;BR /&gt;Or the mailbox address is not added to an active customer MyAccount&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Any device email software, email app, or mail collection service connects to your mailbox using insecure settings&lt;BR /&gt;Secure mail connections to your mailbox must all be made using a minimum of TLS 1.2 encryption security and sign in using the email address and email password&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;There's continued use of out of date email software, operating system or legacy email settings&lt;BR /&gt;We can advise on device and software compatibility and provide customer setup guides&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Looks like changing the settings on the iPad and tablet were too late to avoid the last resort withdrawal of IMAP access due to continued use of insecure settings.&amp;nbsp; Webmail will still work via a browser.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;What model iPad and what model tablet? Are there any other ways she collects her mail messages? Computer, other phone, mail collection service? All must use secure settings. Asking so we can provide advice on compatibility. Some devices or software does not support secure mail to the required standards. Guides given below.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The devices will not authenticate a connection until TalkTalk Support restore full access. That'll be requested for you / her.&lt;/P&gt;
