Can't send emails from windows live mail

I use Windows live mail on Windows 10 as my email client.

I am unable to make the changes to my outgoing server as Talktalk say I must use from today (23Feb2022).

I can change the port (used to be 25) to 587 but there is no facility in LiveMail to invoke an encryption method of STARTTLS whether I tick the "server requires a secure connection" box or not.

I have tried both port numbers - old 25 and new 587 and both the "security" required" option but none of the 4 combinations work.

The incoming server settings are OK so I can receive emails on my PC but not send them from my PC.

This problems happens with not only my Tiscali email address but also to my wife's Talktalk email address.

Has anyone got any ideas to help me solve this problem?

Windows Live Mail is not able to support secure mail. Please cease using.

You'll have access to your mailbox using TalkTalk Mail webmail.

Select here: Sign in to TalkTalk Mail

Enter your full TalkTalk Mail email address and password, select Sign in.

Windows 10 includes Windows Mail and the setup instructions for that are in the guide below. Alternatively download Thunderbird or Bluemail or upgrade to Outlook365 if you wish to use an email client / email software / email app in addition to webmail via an up to date Internet browser.

Let me know which one you wish to use and I'll make sure you have the right guidance.

Account holder name, TalkTalk home 'phone number (if not Data Only broadband)

Alternative mobile contact number. Full address with postcode (in the Location box)

Scroll down to Private notes to add the email address and customer account number
