    <description>&lt;P&gt;I over looked updating my security settings and TalkTalk have now moved me to Web access only.&amp;nbsp; On receiving the email to say that I would be moved I did update the settings as shown below but it was obviously too late and I was moved anyway.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; How might I get&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;email access restored to email apps?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;What version of Outlook are you using? Does it have a STARTTLS option for the outgoing server encrypted connection?&amp;nbsp; Do you have any other services or devices connecting to the mailbox?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you saw the message from TalkTalk advising "&lt;EM&gt;Our records show that you are still accessing your email using unencrypted email settings, because of this you will no longer be able to receive or send emails via this email app or software&lt;/EM&gt;" then the email address receiving that notification has been limited to webmail only access as a last resort action by TalkTalk to stop the use of insecure email.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;TalkTalk Mail webmail is secure by design using an up to date Internet browser.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;You will be able to get email access restored to email apps or software including mail collection services so long as you're ready to use up to date and secure email settings for all the ways you view emails. We can advise on device and software compatibility and provide customer setup guides. Just let us know each mail collection service, each device, its operating system and email software including version that are in current use.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;For a definitive check of settings take screenshots of the incoming and outgoing server settings, image edit to obscure the first part of the email address and upload here using the Camera icon (desktop browser) or Picture icon (mobile browser) above this reply area.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;When you confirm the secure settings are ready I can request TalkTalk Support to restore full access. TalkTalk Support will respond here and access will be restored usually within a couple of working days.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am using Outlook 2007 which does support SSL and TLS.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;However, it doesn't support STARTTLS.&amp;nbsp; I am not so worried about outgoing connection and can use another account for sending emails.&amp;nbsp; It's receiving emails that's more of the issue.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I did have a Android phone connected to the account.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I have now deleted that connection with the aim of seeing if I can restore incoming emails using Outlook as opposed to Web, so that all my emails are together in one place.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you could request restoration of full access, I would appreciate it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Many thanks.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Sorry, I cannot recommend restoring access because Outlook 2007 is incapable of supporting secure mail to the TLS 1.2 standard required for TalkTalk Mail. You should cease using Outlook 2007 because lack of security updates makes it vulnerable and puts your security at risk every time you take it online.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;What's the operating system on the Windows device and the version of Android. What we'd like to do is find a solution to using secure mail on one or other device.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Select start button / windows icon&lt;BR /&gt;Type Internet Options, Select Internet Options&lt;BR /&gt;Select Internet Properties - Advanced Tab&lt;BR /&gt;Scroll down&lt;BR /&gt;Untick Use SSL 3.0&lt;BR /&gt;Untick Use TLS 1.0&lt;BR /&gt;Untick Use TLS 1.1&lt;BR /&gt;Tick Use TLS 1.2&lt;BR /&gt;Tick Use TLS 1.3&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;That ensures the encryption security on the device is up to date using just TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3 as required for all secure applications.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
