&lt;P&gt;TalkTalk Mail webmail is secure by design when using an up to date Internet browser.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If your mailbox is limited to webmail only access for both sending and receiving mail, you will be able to get access restored to email apps or email software, including mail collection services, passwords will then re-authenticate, so long as you're ready to use supported email software and secure email settings for all the ways you view emails.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;We can advise on device and software compatibility with TLS 1.2 encryption and provide customer setup guides. Just let us know each mail collection service, each device, its operating system and email software including version that are in current use.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;What device are you using? If you only had a stop on sending then using the correct settings should fix that. Screenshots of the outgoing server settings?&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;For a definitive check of email settings take screenshots of the incoming and outgoing server settings, image edit to obscure the first part of the email address and upload here using the Camera icon (desktop browser) or Picture icon (mobile browser) above this reply area.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've lost the ability to send emails, receiving is still working as was already set to SSL but sending wasnt.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The settings have now been updated &amp;amp; ive put my talktalk email addy in my profile.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope you can help.       <description>&lt;P&gt;hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Im using windows 10 with Windows Live Mail (yeah its old &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:"&gt;😄&lt;/span&gt; ) . i dont send many emails on this account but it was last working 21st Feb.       <description>&lt;P&gt;You'll definitely need to retire WLM as it's not supported by TalkTalk Mail and 7 years past its end-of-life date makes it a security risk.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The error also tells me that you're sending from a non-TalkTalk email address, maybe a personal domain address and that's also no longer going to work. The email account must be set up for outgoing authentication by the From email address and its password.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;What's your preferred choice of currently supported email client? I can help with settings if you need.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for the help Gondola.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ive taken the time to set things up correctly now, all seems to be working well. Ive gone with Mozilla Thunderbird client.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ive set up a mailbox on my domain also instead of using forwarding etc..&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks Again&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
