Cannot send emails using windows live mail

Hi,

For some reason I can't send emails but can receive them in my talktalk email account. I'm still on tiscali.co.uk and wondered if it was the settings. I'm using Windows live mail in Windows 7. I would appreciate any help I can get with this problem

TalkTalk does not support Windows Live Mail (WLM). The product is deprecated, not secure and presents a security risk to your mail messages and your password that can be intercepted and read. TalkTalk no longer permits the use of insecure mail messages that are not encrypted by the STARTTLS command that invokes TLS 1.2 encryption.

If you have Windows 7 then that is also a deprecated product that no longer receives security updates from Microsoft. You could download and use a secure email client like Thunderbird for example that still, for now, offers support on Windows 7.

Let us know which alternative email software of your choice you will use in place of WLM.
