Email security settings on Kindle

Email stopped working on the Kindle two weeks ago. Nothing in or out with the message “Connection problem (Talktalk)” at the top of the inbox.

looking at other messages on here it is probably a security issue with the settings but the limited number of settings available on a Kindle (just the incoming and outgoing server address and the port number) seem to be set to the recommended values and it won’t connect. So what is the next thing to check or try please?

Hi scr1361, if your device isn't capable of using the required security settings and you've got if fully updated then you'll only be able to use TalkTalk email in webmail.
