Hello,

Yesterday I received an email, assumed to be from TalkTalk, stating that I need to refresh my email account settings before the 10th Oct. It provides a link to go to the account but it does not work and I have since heard it is a scam.

Can anyone provide some more information? And why, when I used the main TalkTalk account Chat service, the person I chatted with did not know anything about it and asked me if I wanted the details of the settings sent by email.

Well confused.

See the sticky at the top of the board and much discussion on here.

Report phishing, block sender, delete the email and run a malware check.

Keep antivirus software up to date.

Talktalk Chat agents are frequently behind the curve and not sufficiently informed. Follow the advice in the community, @galan46.
