Having had to change to the new server recommendations from talk talk in June ie from PoP3 to IMAP, i am again in the last few days, weeks receiving an increase in spam emails. This is happening accross the range of my tiscali emails

Why is this as we were assured this would reduce spam emails.?

The spammers are out in droves, changing the spoofed email addresses with every repeat of whatever they are sending, @oldtimer1.

Once they have your address, they will simply keep sending. I check my hotmail account Spam every day.

Ritual deletion of at least 10, sometimes over 20 emails carefully checking that no proper ones are caught up amongst them.

Similarly, an occasional bit of Spam slips into the normal inbox.

They are getting cleverer. Talktalk is running hard to keep up with this, but if a company the size of Microsoft can't sort it, I doubt TT really can.
