Hi. I am receiving emails that use various addresses that have a friend's name in front of the address. My friend knows nothing of these emails. Other people in my circle have received similar emails. It would appear that my friend's address book is known to someone.

Can I prevent any more emails from getting to me or is the onus on my friend to stop what is happening?

Thanks.

Hi @NEWbrain1 your friend is as much a victim as you are. If you flag all the incoming as junk or spam your inbox may learn...

Regardless your post has been escalated and you should hear soon.

Hi NEWbrain1, the obvious answer would be to block mail with your friends name in until such time that they can confirm their mailbox is secure again or no longer being spoofed.
