The Telephone Preference Service uses the Mailgun service for outgoing emails. The sent emails are fully authenticated and are accepted by TalkTalk Mail's inbound mail servers. I have checked that TPS verification is working with TalkTalk Mail.

If your mailbox is not receiving emails from Mailgun then there are two reasons:

Your mailbox has filters active to reject Mailgun emails

Mailgun has added your email address to its suppression list

The most common reason for not receiving mail from a mail sending service is because your email address got added automatically to the send suppression list because of some difficulty in delivering mail to your mailbox. That difficulty could be because you do have active filters or just because there happened to be an issue with your mailbox and when the retries failed to get mail delivered so Mailgun stopped sending.

The only way to resolve this issue is to:

Check your mailbox to ensure there are no filters stopping mail from being delivered to the Inbox
Then you're sure nothing is stopping delivery for incoming mail messages

Ask the TPS to get their email admins to remove your email address from the Mailgun suppression list
Then you're sure Mailgun are actually sending you the TPS verification messages

Let me know if you need more help.

If you don't wish to go through the troubleshooting steps I've outlined for you then the workaround is to give TPS a different active email address.

Does anybody NOT receive verification emails?

I applied to the Telephone Preference Service and the verification email never arrived.

It's not in junk and I've been told in a shop when signing up for a eg. a loyalty card that there is a problem with email addresses.

#talktalkemail #noverification
