&lt;P&gt;A weak password may have been reset for security. The Reset password now button in the help article &lt;A style="color: #2c4047; text-decoration: underline;" title="Select here, scroll down to review the help page Changing your email password" href="https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/Changing-your-email-password/ta-p/2556067" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;I class="fa fa-book"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/I&gt;Changing your email password&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;will take you to password reset and recovery.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If the email address is still active on the TalkTalk Mail platform and you have set up password recovery options, in advance, that you recognise from the *****hints, then you can send your alternate email address a link or your mobile a 6-digit code to authorise a password reset.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Let us know what happens when you've set a new password. I recommend a password of 12 - 15 multicase letters, at least one number and one symbol.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have had exactly this problem before when Talktalk kept making all kinds of suggestions but actually there was an issue on their end which was, eventually, resolved without my having to go through all kinds of hoops.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;This time I have had the "incorrect password" message for one of my e-mail addresses which I access through their website since 18th December and their website have acknowledged there was an issue.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="Screenshot from talktalk" style="width: 982px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/68454i3E181AECC3ED7535/image-size/large/is-moderation-mode/true?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999" role="button" title="fullsizeoutput_553.jpeg" alt="Screenshot from talktalk" /&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-caption" onclick="event.preventDefault();"&gt;Screenshot from talktalk&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;e.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Today the website claims there are no issues with emails but I am still getting the "password incorrect" message when I try to access my emails through the talktalk website.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;My other e-mail address, which I access through Thunderbird, has not been affected!&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;It is extremely difficult to get any sense from talktalk and meanwhile I am not able to contact or receive emails from utility companies, banks etc.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Good luck!!!!!&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;</description>
