IMAP Password

I have been told to move to a new OUTLOOK and in the process have to enter IMAP password. How to I get this?

The description of an IMAP password is perhaps suggesting that there's a different password required. To clarify, there is only one password per mailbox. The same password is used to sign in to TalkTalk Mail webmail and to authenticate an IMAP incoming mail server and to authenticate the outgoing SMTP mail server.

To check you have the correct password just sign in to TalkTalk Mail.

Select here: Sign in to TalkTalk Mail

Enter your full TalkTalk Mail email address, select Continue and enter the password, select Sign in.

Ensure you have password change options saved. Select the user icon top right and then the menu item Update your reset details.
