TalkTalk Mail does not delete anything from the Inbox. The only two standard folders that have an auto-delete function are the Trash and Spam folders. Have a look in Trash and other mailbox folders to check if those messages were inadvertently moved.

If you do have important mail messages and attachments then it's TalkTalk recommendation to make multiple backup copies.

A whole 2 weeks of received emails from 04/01/2024-15/01/2024 have been wiped from my inbox. These are mainly photographs of ancestors. i would not be so stupid to have deleted them

I have not moved them they were to valuable to me. I accept they have gone into the trash folder somehow and been auto deleted after 30 days, but they were not put there by me and it has never happened before

If this happened a month ago then I don't think you'll detect anything by checking the Security function in TalkTalk Mail. But have a look anyway.

Select the cog icon (Settings)

Select the menu item All settings

Select Security on the left of the modal that opens

You'll see Your devices that are connected to your mailbox
Check these out to see if you see any unauthorised device connecting
