You've added a BT Mail email address as a secondary account to your primary TalkTalk Mail mailbox login and the error message indicates that the credentials i.e. the email address and or its password are not accepted by the BT Mail servers.

Have you checked via BT webmail that the address is still active? BT Email Login

Just recheck the password and Edit on the TalkTalk Mail Accounts settings.

Thank you for your reply.

I have now found my old BT Internet details. obscured for customer security

When I go onto the BT Web site it does not recognise these - it does not recognise the BTID i.e. this email address.

Can you not delete this as a secondary account to my TalkTalk account?

You can delete the secondary email address.

Sign in to TalkTalk Mail to the primary TalkTalk email account
Select the cog icon top right (desktop browser mode)
Select All settings
Select Accounts in the left side of the modal that opens
Select the BTInternet account you wish to remove
Select the X to the right of the account name (the background will go red)
Confirm deletion
