Talk talk app won't send emails they just sit in the outbox

The app is receiving emails but not sending them, they just sit in the outbox.

TalkTalk Mail via an Internet browser does not display the Outbox folder. I'm therefore guessing that you've set up your TalkTalk Mail email account with a third party email app and therefore am going to ask what device are you using and is it connected to the Internet via your home broadband connection and not via any VPN service; what is the device operating system and what is the email app software and version? Asking just so I have facts to be able to make an assessment of the troubleshooting steps to take.
